Great Life Senior - Month 1 - Blog Banner.jpg

I’m Jason White, the proud Founder and CEO of Great Life Senior Care LLC.

I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

I was drawn to the senior care industry out of necessity as my grandpa was diagnosed with Dementia and began to decline quickly. My father-in-law, too, diagnosed withDementia, struggled with memory function and extreme anxiety both inside and outside of his home.

To assist my mom and my wife, I began researching avenues for care, finding answers, and looking for ways to improve the quality of life for our loved ones while they aged comfortably in their homes, safely and with dignity. I wanted to see them receive loving and competent care that could work independently and alongside the family. While taking on this task and looking to start my own business, I was also a full-time student and was working at the Veterans Administration hospital in Loma Linda.

My search eventually led me to start my own senior care company and became a member of The Seniors Choice, a highly reputable nationwide network of in-home senior care agencies. In doing so, I fulfilled a life-long personal dream of owning a small business.

Officially Great Life Senior Care LLC was created in April 2018. The business name was chosen as a tribute to my grandfather Glenn Grimes who had an amazing life. He cherished his family, was a business owner, a pilot, a pastor, a motorcycle rider, and an Olympic caliber gymnast! His impact on my life cannot be overstated.

Busy was an understatement and I spent the rest of the year getting all the business startup documents in order and licensing in place. Finally, on March third of 2019, I had my first client, my father-in-Law, Hal.

When I first started, I had no idea how much work, effort, and time it would take to be successful. Even though I knew that launching a new business would be challenging, I didn’t realize just how much demand and focus it would require of me.

I soon understood that networking, building relationships, gaining trust, getting noticed, and being credible all take time and a lot of effort, not to mention the long hours and middle-of-the-night phone calls.

Today, I feel Great Life is on the move and in a growth stage. As I stick to what I’m good at, I find success comes when I delegate responsibility and loosen the reins allowing others to assist in our growth who are better suited for certain tasks.

One proud highlight of Great Life Senior Care LLC is that our training for the caregivers is second to none. This leading industry provider of California Home care content for my team is comprehensive and professional that helps improve their skills as Home Care Aides, which has resulted in us offering the best care by the most amazing and competent caregivers.

As a business owner, it feels incredible to offer jobs to those who need them while contributing positively to my community. I work hard to ensure that we are constantly improving and making progress towards our goal of serving and loving people. As a benefit, I have met amazing people, built friendships in the business community, and made a significant impact in the lives of many seniors and their families. Meeting with families and seniors who need help is my favorite part of the business. I love sitting down with clients, talking with them, hearing their journey, listening to their concerns, and comforting them when they are embarrassed or sad. I see it as an incredible opportunity and honor for me, as I love seniors.

As Founder and CEO of Great life, I feel blessed to be serving my community and am hopefully making a positive impact on my family and even society. The heart and vision of Great Life Senior Care LLC can be summed up by our tag line and slogan, “Our Family Caring for Yours.” I believe that the guiding principle and our core values are what sets us apart in the industry. Those values include keeping our client’s health, quality of life, and well-being central in the design and delivery of our services. We treat and interact with our clients through dignity, empathy, and integrity while recognizing and maintaining the confidentiality of client information. Similarly, we show respect for all people, including different cultures, religions, ethnicities, sexual orientations, ages, gender, and disabilities.

Our success is 100% a team effort, but there are two major things I believe that contribute the most.

Firstly, our caregivers are exceptional and love their job. Their personal stories connect them to the profession, which is why they value and can build rapport with clients.

Secondly, I think our success has come from our outstanding community partnerships who have started counting on us, and I’m thankful for their referrals.

A referral is a most valued compliment, and I will go over and above to do right by the people who trust that my team will deliver a fantastic service.

Also, when I receive a beautiful review that details how my caregivers have made a positive difference in the life of the person they were looking after, it fills me with immense satisfaction.

When I’m not arranging homecare, I love family time, going to the beach, snowboarding, playing golf, and hiking in Yosemite. My wife would say I wasn’t honest if I didn’t add that I like to play video games too :)

Besides this, I like to volunteer. When I transitioned out of the Army, I was part of the Wounded Warrior Program. The many different things they did to help veterans, including myself, acclimatize to civilian life touched me. Therefore, I believe in their mission and support them by volunteering in their different activities for vets as often as possible.

I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.

If you or someone you know could benefit from my expertise as the owner of a senior home health care company in Menifee, California, I invite you to get in touch. Please visit my website at www.greatlifeseniorcare.com.

Sincerely,

Jason
