Our Approach Our Story

A little about me… I am married and have two amazing sons. My wife is a school teacher, and I am a veteran of five years, where I was privileged to serve as a Medic in the US Army.

Services

I love people, and discovered my love for seniors when I was a child. I can remember looking forward to regular monthly trips to what I used to call, “The old folks’ home.” This is where I first developed an appreciation and love for the senior community. I loved the sincerity, the stories, and the endless smiles that would greet me as I visited this aging population. Some of the people there rarely saw their family members, but in our short, yet regular visits, we became family to them.

I remember their names, I remember taking goodies and gifts, and I remember thinking that us being there was the best part of their day. What stuck with me from those encounters and touched me to the core, were their eyes that lit up so very bright. We were there for them and they knew it. Their response communicated joy, appreciation, and LIFE. I will never forget how those visits touched my heart and shaped me in becoming the person who I am today.

In addition, I was drawn to the senior care industry out of necessity. My grandpa was diagnosed with dementia, and began to decline quickly, while my father-in- law too struggled with memory function and extreme anxiety outside of his home. To assist my mom, and my wife, I began researching care, finding answers, and looking for ways to improve their lives while they aged comfortably in their homes, safely and with dignity. I wanted to find them loving and competent care that would work independently if need be, but also work with and assist alongside the family. That search led me to become a member of The Seniors Choice, a nationwide network of senior care agencies, and to fulfill a personal life-long dream of owning a small business in my community and thus, Great Life Senior Care began.

I have a Bachelor of Science from Azusa Pacific University in Organizational Leadership, which was a long time coming. This was a major accomplishment for me, and one of the things I had to finish if I was to establish a precedent that my sons also needed to go to college. Since the late 1990’s church has been a very important part of my life. I have helped pioneer new churches in Arizona, as well as in Germany, and Mexico. Today my family continues to be a part of our local church where relationship with God and community are important, and our kids love it.

Speaking of parenthood, I love being a parent, and watching my sons grow, mature, and live their lives with a mindset that the world is theirs, full of endless possibility and adventure. I like to think I nurtured this mindset as in many ways I hold this same belief and strive to always offer positivity, joy, hope and sincerity with them and everyone I come in contact with. In life and as a personal goal, I hope that in the time I meet you I can make you feel like a million bucks. Making other people feel confident, valuable, loved, and appreciated is not hard, but does take a deliberate and purposeful commitment every day. The glass is half-full, and finding the good in others has many rewards.

My hobbies are going to the beach with my family, singing, surfing, dirt bikes, snowboarding and camping. Being with my family is joyful and I hope that this too carries over to my caregiver family, as they in large part will become your FAMILY. My beliefs and enthusiasm for life and people are contagious. Rest assured my caregivers will carry on that same mentality. They will be professionals, and approach your care individually, offering companionship and positivity while fulfilling their duties. Thank you for your interest in Great Life Senior Care.

Sincerely,

Jason White
